Meditation Class
Seated meditation practice that helps students explore their daily lives. It offers insights into how to live more peacefully and fully. The Latin root of the word meditation, mederi, means "to heal." In our practice of meditation it does not mean thinking about how to fix the mind but how to be one with it. Meditation is the way to bring us back to ourselves, where we can really experience, explore, and be with ourselves. In stillness and silence of seated meditation, we glimpse and return to that deep inner nature that we have lost sight of amid the busyness and distraction of our minds and lives.

Vinyasa (Ever other Friday, please check schedule for dates)
This is a freestyle flow class with a good mixture of strength, flexibility, balancing, pranayama (breath work), and meditation. Vinyasa is based on the Ashtanga style of yoga, using Ujjayi pranayama to heat the body, focus the mind, and move through vinyasa (flow). In the flow, we add hand balances and other difficult asanas. This class is challenging and is not designed for beginners.
Yoga Cross Over (Ever other Friday, please check schedule for dates)
This class crosses the mind-body poses of yoga with stability training. Yoga has the ability to change lives in ways that cardiovascular and weight training cannot. Combine them together and we have a crossover class that builds strength, combining breath based yoga postures and stability training.
